Sydney Evidence Routes: Employer, University or icare?
Sydney users commonly arrive with one of three very different problems: an ordinary work absence, an assessment or exam affected by illness, or a workplace injury. The right evidence changes with the problem, even though each may involve an AHPRA-registered GP.
Ordinary work absence
For a CBD office worker, retail employee, teacher or health worker with a non-work illness, the standard sick leave pathway is usually the relevant starting point. Fair Work explains the evidence principles for personal and carer's leave.
University assessment

Workplace Injury or Role-Specific Capacity?
A workplace injury follows a different evidence pathway from an ordinary illness. A Sydney worker may need an NSW Certificate of Capacity through the icare/SIRA pathway rather than a standard sick leave certificate.
