1. About OMC Health

OMC Health (ABN 26 682 925 506) is a medical certificate booking and delivery platform operating at https://onlinemedicalcertificate.au. OMC Health is not a medical practice and does not provide medical services. Medical consultations and certificate issuance are performed by AHPRA-registered GPs from our partner practices.

2. Eligibility

To use the OMC Health platform, you must:

Age

Be aged 18 or over, or have a parent or guardian complete the booking on your behalf

Location

Be located in Australia at the time of your consultation

Information

Provide accurate and complete information when making your booking

Agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy

3. The OMC Health Platform

OMC Health provides a technology platform that:

Facility

Facilitates bookings for telehealth consultations with partner GP practices

Delivery

Delivers medical certificates issued by partner GPs to patients by email

Verification

Operates a certificate verification service

OMC Health does not employ GPs, provide medical advice, or issue medical certificates. All clinical decisions are made exclusively by the consulting GP of partner practices platforms.

4. The Consultation and Certificate

Your consultation is conducted online by phone by partner practicing AHPRA-registered GPs:

Real-Time Consultation Required

Every certificate request requires a real-time consultation (by phone) with an AHPRA-registered GP from one of our partner practices. Certificates are not issued based on questionnaires, written submissions, or automated assessments alone.

Clinical Discretion

The consulting GP has full clinical discretion. The GP may decline to issue a certificate if they determine it is not clinically appropriate. OMC Health does not override or influence clinical decisions made by partner GPs.

No Guarantee of Issuance

Completing a booking and payment does not guarantee that a certificate will be issued. Certificate issuance is entirely at the clinical discretion of the consulting GP.

Certificate Validity

Certificates issued through OMC Health are valid medical documents issued by AHPRA-registered GPs. Acceptance of the certificate by your employer, educational institution, insurer, or other party is subject to that party's own policies. OMC Health cannot guarantee acceptance by any third party.

5. Payment and Refunds

Pricing, payment and Refunds:

Pricing

Pricing is displayed on the OMC Health platform prior to booking. All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST where applicable.

Payment

Payment is processed by third-party payment providers. OMC Health does not store credit card or bank account details. By completing payment, you authorise OMC Health to charge the stated consultation fee.

Refund Policy

A full refund will be provided if the consulting GP determines a certificate is not clinically appropriate for your situation. Refunds are processed automatically to your original payment method within 7 business days.

Refunds are inititated automatically for rejected or cancelled consutlation subject to policy. Refunds will not be provided where a certificate has been issued, or where you have not attended or participated in your scheduled consultation without prior notice. If your refund hasn't been processd please contact support.

6. Your Obligations

When using the OMC Health platform, you agree to:

Information

Provide accurate, truthful, and complete information.

Misrepresentation

Do not misrepresent your symptoms, condition, or circumstances to obtain a certificate.

Attend

Attend your scheduled consultation at the agreed time.

Purpose

Use certificates only for their intended legitimate purpose and do not attempt to use the platform for any unlawful purpose

Providing false or misleading information to obtain a medical certificate may constitute fraud and/or an offence under applicable Australian law.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law:

OMC Health's liability for any claim arising from use of our platform is limited to the amount paid by you for the relevant booking.

OMC Health is not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special loss or damage

OMC Health is not liable for the clinical decisions, conduct, or advice of partner GP practices or their GPs.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the OMC Health platform, including text, design, trademarks, and software, is owned by or licensed to OMC Health. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content without prior written permission.

9. Third-Party Links and Services

Our platform may contain links to third-party websites or services. OMC Health is not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or accuracy of third-party sites.

10. Amendments

OMC Health may update these Terms at any time. The current version is published at https://onlinemedicalcertificate.au/terms-of-use. Continued use of our platform after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of NSW, VIC, QLD, WA, SA and TAS and the Commonwealth of Australia. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of states.
